Rourkey's Rumours # 8
This Year’s MVP
With everyone getting all up in my face about the lack of rumours of late I think it’s about time for some more gold from me. With 6 games left in the season I think I should look through some of the contenders for this year’s MVP: Most Valuable Primate (which is coincidently a movie much like ‘The Mighty Ducks’, but with a chimpanzee).
Jason Beard – The preseason favourite is starting to show a bit, particularly off the field. Very much a team player who doesn’t mind playing in the wet.
Matthew Breen – Should win due to his piece alone. Seems to have formed a special bond with Grabski, mainly over the piece, mixed with a little ruck work.
Simon Jones – Absolutely dominates. Takes massive grabs, kicks bags and loves the piece. As much the whole package as The Piece itself.
James Grabski – As a new recruit, has been super, working in tandem with Matthew ‘The Piece’ Breen. Wins more clearances than The Piece wins admiring looks.
Shane Fleay – Flavour of the month could well become flavour of the year, not unlike mint-choc chip ice cream.
Brad Mumford – Makes the best forwards in the competition look like 2nd rate hacks. Makes the rest of the team look like Adonis’. Except me L
Matt Judd – Prefers to get his stats in junk time when the pressure is off.
